Most of our students are refugees from Sudan, but we also welcome displaced children from other African countries such as Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia and Uganda.

Without AHLC these children have no possibility of going to school as they are not accepted in the already overcrowded Egyptian schools.

The majority of the students had some education in Arabic or English. Many children were out of school for one to three years for different reasons before they came to AHLC.
