To give the students some extra attention, the teachers of AHLC could use some help!

If you live in Maadi Cairo and you want to volunteer at AHLC, we will have work for you! We are looking for native English speakers or people that have lived in an English speaking country. Because English is not the first language for most of the students, they need a lot of help. You could help them with their reading or with conversation, helping them with their homework etc.

Do not hesitate to contact us! We can use volunteers for one hour a week, two hours, two days a week, etc. You just let us know when you are available and we can schedule you in.

If you have other abilities to offer, e.g. maintenance, let us know. In a place like our school things do break from time to time.

If you are a scout that is looking for a project, we might have one for you. In the past, scouts have helped us with painting jobs, gardening and maintenance. Contact us, share your ideas and we will see how we can help one another.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES: during the month of July AHLC is running a summer program. From Monday till Thursday you can help the children from the primary school with English, Art, Sport, Drama and Music. Even if you are only two or three days per week available, you are welcome.The school day is from 8am-12:30 PM.

Help is needed in setting up a science laboratory at the High School.

Volunteers in soccer and basketball will also be appreciated. Their roles would include liaising with other international schools for sports and making the necessary arrangements.
